In the meantime when launch date for Mi Band 5 for the European countries coming near, the previous Mi Band 4 became number one selling fitness band. The report coming from Canalys revealed this data about the global ranking of the wearable market. However, Canalys hasn’t shared this data on their official website, the Xiaomi took it. On the Twitter & Facebook accounts of Xiaomi, the company has posted a banner and hailed Mi Band 4 to become the number one selling tracker in the Global market. The data is since the third quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020. There is also not a shipment data or the regions, but still, it is tremendous growth for a Chinese company.
Xiaomi’s Mi Band 4 known as Mi Smart Band 4 outside China came into the light when it surpassed 1 million milestones in the first week after the launch. Thanks to the Mi Band 3 which was launched with solid features, that helped Band 4 to gain some popularity. At the launch, it came with a 0.95-inch screen with 5 ATM waterproof technology. it also opened gallery of 100 new watch faces. The NFC function was only available with China version, though the advanced sleep-tracking and screen timeout functions are much improved.
Now, again in the mid of June, Xiaomi has introduced Mi Band 5 (Mi Smart Band 5) fitness tracker. The advanced PAI feature, 1.1-inch screen, new animated watch faces, breathing & stress monitoring, and the magnetic charging on the board would help the band. The new Mi Band 5 is smarter in many ways compared to Mi Band 4. We think in the coming weeks we could see strong sales for the fifth-gen Mi Band in many countries.
