Xiaomi’s fifth-generation Mi Smart Band 5 is now ready to launch in overseas. The fitness tracker is now listed on some of the Xiaomi’s official European websites, specifically on Germany & Portugal with the July 15 launch date. It was announced on June 11 in China, and later the company promised to release it in July in other countries. Now, the online retailer Honorbuy is taking pre-orders for the tracker and it will ship it from July 15 on first come first serve basis. Xiaomi has posted a banner on the official website, confirming Mi Smart Band 5 in Europe along with three more products. In Europe, the smart band has price tag of €39.99 or nearly $45, which is expensive than the Mi Band 4.
Mi Band 5 is one of the most advanced fitness tracker in the market with rich functions & smartphone support. The company expects better selling results from the current Band like the Mi Band 4, which became number one wearable device in the global shipment, according to Canalys report. The users on the Mi Community has also confirmed that Xiaomi has released the first firmware for the band that brings Camera shutter control function & enhanced performance. The function was introduced in the launch event, but the company decided to release it with upcoming updates, and now it did.
Xiaomi’s Mi Smart Band 5 comes with 1.1-inch display, 11 sports mode, over 100 animated watch faces, magnetic charging, menstrual cycle tracking, PAI health function, and 20 days of battery. The global version of Mi Smart Band 5 will miss NFC function, though the latest leak suggests, it may come with Pro version along with Amazon Alexa & SpO2 functions. To pre-order the band, you can visit Honorbuy website. Right now, it is the only website which is taking pre-orders. After the launch date or from July 15, we think it will available from more retailers & Xiaomi’s official website.
