Xiaomi has officially entered into the smartwatch business buy launching the first Mi Watch. The Mi Watch is the real clone to the Apple Watch series more than Huami’s Amazfit GTS, which has introduced in August. The smartwatch runs on MIUI based Wear OS software that will inherit all the Android’s Wear OS features along with the company’s custom features. The watch comes with a 1.78-inch always-on display feature, which is 44mm in size. The users with small hands may find it a little more significant on their wrists.
Xiaomi has brought more than 40 apps to the smartwatch and separate App Store to download apps without using a smartphone. The company has now opened an App Store for third-party developers to release their quality apps on the platform. It offers Bluetooth, NFC and eSIM support for connectivity. For the fitness users swim tracking, heart rate detection and multiple sport modes are available.
You will get Snapdragon 3100 chipset & 1GB RAM to run it faster, and 8GB internal memory to store audios, images, videos & other files. Very few smartwatches in the market offer that kind of storage and RAM to the customers.
It will run 36 hours on a single charge when 4G enabled. The 570mAh inside the Mi Watch is the most prominent cell ever put in a smartwatch. The Xiaomi watch will go on sale in China from November 11 & it has priced at CNY 1299 ($185).
International availability has not revealed yet, but we think the global version will release in the first week of December. Till to date, Xiaomi has collaborated with Huami to release different Amazfit series watches, including Mi Band fitness trackers. It is the first wearable that the company has revealed without taking any help from any partnered company.
