In the previous major updates, Samsung Galaxy S20 & Galaxy Note 20 had received One UI 3.1 firmware. The update had brought many Galaxy S21 camera functions along with other features to these old flagship devices. Though that version had missed some camera features that were exclusive to the new model. Now, Samsung is releasing a new update to bring more camera functions to the Galaxy S20 & Note 20. The software update has firmware version G98**XXU7DUC7 for the Galaxy S20 series, and version N98**XXU1DUC8 for the Note 20 series.
After this version, users can take portrait images in low-light conditions. The night mode or dark mode can be now used in the ultrawide camera. The night mode can be used in highly possible exposure. Want more options? Samsung has added three new effects in portrait mode. Those are backup, high-key mono & low-key mono options. These effects let you change the background colors to black, white, or to whatever color you want. You can also use an ultrawide camera in the camera’s Pro mode.
The one sad news also came to the users, and that is missing the Director’s View feature. Both devices have missed this function. The reason behind the lack of the Director’s view function is because of the limitations in the processor ISP (Image Signal Processor). The firmware is now rolling out in Germany that may soon come to your device.
