Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Watch in India for Rs. 24,990 and Rs. 29,990. The smartwatch is now available in Samsung stores and from selected online retailers. The Galaxy Watch is the 4th generation smartwatch introduced with Tizen 4.0 firmware version. It is upgraded model of Samsung Gear S3 and renamed as Galaxy Watch instead of Gear S4. It has released in two versions – first is 42mm and the second one is 46mm, both are available in India with different price tags. The 42mm model is available for Rs. 24,990 and the bigger 46mm model available for Rs. 29,990 in the country.
Both 46mm & 42mm watches comes with LTE & Bluetooth options but those are not yet released in India. The Galaxy Watch supports Always on Display features, which shows all important notifications on the display. As per company the watch has more than 60,000 watch faces in its library and comes with many important apps in the store. The essential apps, Spotify, Uber, MapMyRun, Pear, Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Speedo On, Near, Here Wego and many more are available in the Galaxy store.
The watch comes with Rose Gold, Silver & Black color options. It has Gorilla Glass DX+ technology to protect its glass and industry leading water resistance with a 5 ATM rating technology to save it from another harms. This watch is powered by Exynos 9110 Dual Core 1.15GHz processor and 768MB RAM to run it in heavy usage. For the fitness & health purpose it has 21 different new indoor exercises and total 39 workouts. The 1.3-inch screen on 46mm model & 1.2-inch screen on 42mm model is enough to see all the notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook, Flipboard and other tools.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch has 472mAh battery on 46mm version & 272mAh battery on 42mm model. It built with Accelerometer, Gyro, Barometer, HRM & Ambient Light tracking features. It supports duo wireless charger, which comes with new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone or you can buy for few more bucks. The Galaxy Watch is now available to purchase from online retailers & Samsung stores. The LTE model is not yet released in India so if you are planning to buy LTE based smartwatch then you have to wait few more weeks.
