New Wear OS 2.3 Update Rolled Out On Some Smartwatches

Google starts rolling out new Wear OS 2.3 update version on some Android smartwatches. The new update is not released for all smartwatches, there are only few watches that are getting hands on it. The report from PhoneArena says Montblank Summit 2 & Fossil Sport are first two smartwatches to get new version. Some users have reported they have received it on their new Mobvoi Ticwatch watches. Many customers have installed new updates on these two watches. As per the changelog the major changes into the firmware is it has reduced battery usage by increasing 10% juice.

Google has fixed some major issues and bugs into the Wear 2.3 software update. There is no data to show you exactly which issues they have solved. Reduced usability in home screen is another change & introduced per-pixel burn in for AMOLED screen is another. These are the minor changes that are notable. The fixed battery power will add 10% more power is the main change that happened into this version.

New Wear OS Update

In the last Android Wear OS 2.2 update or ‘H’ version Google have taken care of its smartwatches by adding lots of new features. In the H update Google had brought the interface re-design, improved Google Health, smarter google Assistant, better notifications & swiping down function to use main apps. The overall it was the major update for Android smartwatches since a long time.

The update is rolling out in some countries for selected Android smartwatches, if you haven’t received yet, then wait for some while, it will soon hit in your country. At the moment Montblank Summit 2 & Fossil Sport watches are receiving new firmware. I will inform you when there is more news about it.
