Nokia will unpack most of its highly featured smartphones in MWC 2020 event along with other devices. The Nokia 9.2 smartphone would unveil in the next event in the presence of other Nokia 8.2 5G smartphone. Both will target the high-end segment to attract 5G users that are growing in all the major countries. There would be other wearables in the Mobile World Congress that we may see from HMD. Now we have a new rumor which claims Nokia is working on Wear OS smartwatch with optional e-SIM support.

The news came from Google, where HMD has received certification for the next Nokia smartwatch that runs on Wear OS. The popular website PhoneArena says we will see the smartwatch in the next event. Not enough, then there will be a low priced fitness tracker from the famous smartphone brand. Currently, we only know the next watch will offer e-SIM support to use it without depending on mobile. The certification received from Google also suggests the watch will run on Wear OS and adopt all the Google OS features.

Nokia Smartwatch

The rumors also mention it will not be a hybrid watch. Instead, we will get a full-fledged smartwatch to run on its own features. Last time, Nokia had canceled its so-called smartwatch at the end. We hope this time Nokia will complete its product that will compete with Apple Watch & Galaxy Watch series smartwatches. The clear picture will come in light when Nokia unpacks its mystery box in MWC 2020 event.
