The new update for Samsung Flow will now allow customers to unlock computers using Samsung Gear Sport & Gear S3. Samsung Flow was firstly launched in 2015 with a basic features. At the launch it was buggy and lacks in many features but after update by update Samsung has improved it. It will help users to login to Windows 10 PC remotely from their Samsung smartphone as well as smartwatch. Before it the app was only supports with Samsung high end phones like Galaxy S9, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and other Galaxy S & A series smartphones. The new Samsung Flow version 3.0.14 comes with many functions. To use Samsung Flow on Samsung wearable user must be running on Tizen 3.0 version.
The user with Gear Sport or Gear S3 wearables can do many things with their devices. Apart from unlocking tour computer you can sync your notifications or share any files, see history of shared files, get important notifications on your phone or smartwatch, turn on or turn off Wi-Fi Hotspot and secure your device with more protection. The other new feature is Smart View functionality is now supported on linked device which will allow users to see content on mirror screen.
The new update is available in Google Play Store for Android smartphones but sadly the Flow version of Gear wearables is not available in Gear App Store. It is not yet released by Samsung developers. The company says it is under verification in Gear Store and soon will be available to download for devices which are running on Tizen 3.0 or higher version. Currently, only two Samsung wearables runs on latest update – Gear Sport & Gear S3 & its models.
You can download Samsung Flow Windows version from Microsoft Windows Store. The version of Android smartphones is available in Google Play Store and for Samsung Gear go to Gear App Store. The Samsung Flow app is still in initial phase so you might get some hiccups using it but still it is good app to use.
