OnePlus Watch may not Get Google’s Wear OS

OnePlus has been making the news with its new updates and its new variant the special edition themed phones, but this time it is being rumored about its new first-ever smartwatch. OnePlus has been planning to launch its smartwatch for a long time but the plan ever seemed to fall in place. According to reports, the new smartwatch will not be using Google’s Wear OS platform, which is very commonly used by smartwatches that cannot afford to have their wearable platform.

Google’s Wear OS platform used by many companies like Fossil, Mobvoi, and even Oppo to some extent. The company’s decision to not use it indicates that they are having their platform made and hence they will have the freedom to create everything from the base without restrictions. This will create a very new market space for OnePlus which no one has created still.

The smartwatch will definitely pair with Android but how will the new platform function we aren’t sure of it yet as the watch won’t even use the modified/skinned version of Watch OS. The company has chosen to make affordable and optimum use devices rather than expensive ones in this year, so the smartwatch will be turning a few heads in the market soon.

The expected date of launching will probably be next year. This watch will surely give a tough competition to its competitors like Apple and Samsung.
