The CEO of OnePlus has hinted that the early next year, the company could launch OnePlus Watch. The company was supposed to launch the smartwatch last year 2019, but due to some reason or the issue with the production house, it delayed. It was again postponed this year when we have seen the actual design and the other leaks on many platforms. Now, the first time we have received confirmation from the CEO itself, so we could see the first smartwatch from OnePlus in the coming few months.
The other major leak from the CEO statement is that the wearable will run on Wear OS by Google. The CEO earlier states, the company is working with Google to enhance the user’s experience with Android & Wear OS. It is a real breakthrough for users that they can get all the Google services. The previous report had mentioned that the company will go with its homegrown OS like Tizen & MIUI, but now we know the Wear OS will be final in the race.
With the Wear OS by Google, it will get Google Fit, Google Pay, Google Assistant, Google Play, and many more apps & services. The sister companies, Oppo, Realme & Vivo have already launched their first smartwatches Oppo Watch, Realme Watch & Vivo Watch respectively in 2020. Now, it OnePlus’ turn to join the force, and we guess it will happen before March 2021. According to the sources, it will be a circular smartwatch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor.
