It’s almost a year when we see the first footprints of Oppo in the wearable market. With the Oppo Watch & Oppo Band, the Chinese company starts the journey with mixed reviews. The Oppo Watch is still considered to be one of the best Wear OS watches along with Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 3. To make an even stronger presence, Oppo has launched Oppo Watch 2 in China. At the moment, the smartwatch will run on ColorOS in the home country, and later join Wear OS in the global market.
With the Oppo Watch 2, it has joined Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset. After Mobvoi, it is the second company to use the latest chipset. To support Wear 4100 chipset, there is Apollo 4s secondary chip to extend battery life and lower app opening time. The watch gives 4 days of battery life, which is 50% more than the previous model. In the power saving mode, it will run for 16 days, but you have to compromise with some features. The Oppo Watch 2 comes with 42mm & 46mm sizes, slightly increased by 1mm compared to predecessors.
The 42mm model offers Bluetooth & eSIM connectivity and the big brother offers eSIM connectivity. In the essential functions, you can get HR, sleep, stress, breathing, workout modes, and other health features. The 42mm in China cost CNY 1300, and the 46mm costs CNY 2000. The global launch of the Oppo Watch 2 has yet to announce by the company.
