Oppo has officially confirmed it will be going to unveil Oppo Watch Free smartwatch on September 26. It will be launched in China with unknown features. The company has shared two new images on its Weibo account and hinted at what we can expect from the upcoming model. The image clearly mentions the next watch will focus on sleep tracking more than other functions. The sleep tracking function is not new to any smartwatches or fitness trackers. It is part of every wearable for a couple of years.
Though sleep data comes with every device, the company never advertised it specifically. Oppo might launch some other factors with Sleep measurement on the Oppo Watch Free. It could come with a smart alarm, REM sleep, noise & snore detection functions like Galaxy Watch 4 & Fossil Gen 6. Some apps in the Play Store also offer advanced sleep-tracking features for the Wear OS watches. The Sleep Cycle app in the Wear OS store is the best example of innovative sleep features.
Oppo Watch Free might come with the proprietary OS rather than Wear OS by Google. The other Oppo Watch 2 has ColorOS in the Chinese model, though it could adopt Wear OS in the global version. On September 26, it will be clear, which OS the company will offer, and also we will know its price and availability. On the same stage, Oppo will unpack Oppo K9 Pro and Oppo Smart TV.
