The Oppo CEO has today confirmed new Oppo Watch will soon land into Western Europe. The official launch date has appeared on the global official Twitter account of Oppo. On the March 5th, Oppo has introduced its first Oppo Watch in China along with Oppo X2 smartphone. Without any timeframe on the Twitter account, the company said the company will launch it later this year. We still don’t have an idea whether that means in the first half of the year or the second half of the year.
The excitement about this watch is because of its ECG sensor that we have seen on many premium smartwatches. It will be the first smartwatch to offer an essential ECG sensor on the budget watch. In the market, only selected watches like Apple Watch Series 4 & 5, Galaxy Active 2, Withings, and Amazfit Stratos 3 have this feature. Oppo Watch has Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset with Apollo 3 co-processor. Like as premium or flagship smartphones, the watch has fast-charging technology, which lets you charge wearable for the next 40 hours in regular use.
In the home country, the Oppo Watch will go on sale from March 24th and the pre-orders have already started. It offers customized watch faces for daily use, and there are two sizes with 41mm & 46mm screens. With the Oppo skin, it runs on Android’s Wear OS. When it launches in the market, it will compete with Mi Watch, Watch Color, Huawei Watch GT 2, Honor MagicWatch 2 and Huami watch.
