In the latest update, the Pandora app for Apple Watch now lets you stream music or podcasts without using the iPhone. After this version, Pandora has become a standalone app on Apple Watch that works without the need of iPhone devices. Before it, users had to download & login to the companion app on the iPhone. Now users can leave their iPhones at home and go on the walk and listen to their favorite music or podcasts using the app.
Since the launch pandora has come a long way, last year in January, in the most significant update, Pandora launched offline music services for Apple Watch users. It was the first step from the company to let users forget their phones and listen to music in offline mode. Now the app becomes even better at serving Apple Watch users. It is the feature that Spotify users are missing from the beginning and there are no words on when it brings to the surface.
Pandora supports WatchOS 6.0 or later version and the app takes full advantage of Apple Watch Series 4 & Series 5 smartwatches. Note that to unlock premium content, you have to subscribe to the Pandora Plus or Pandora Premium services. To install the new version, go to App Store (Pandora) on your Apple Watch or paired iPhone.
