The rumors for the Pixel Watch have resurfaced again in online media which claims Google could launch its first smartwatch in the next company event. Google has announced that it will introduce Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL series smartphones in the next event which has scheduled on October 15th. There is possibility that we might be able to see 5G smartphone from the company. Now the new source Nikkei Asian Review has claimed Google could launch Pixel Watch with the same features as it had leaked in the previous leaks. The rumors for this watch always surfaces each year with new possible features like the watch with built-in camera.
The first rumor of this year was started with Google’s Fossil acquisition. Many tech experts thought Google will now start making its own smartwatches, but later it reveals the company bought it for the other reason. The Google made that deal to work on a new project ‘Diana’ the hybrid watch in a venture with Fossil. The watch is a combination of digital as well as analogue to make a better Wear OS smartwatch.
Since last few years, Google is taking many efforts for Wear OS platform so the watches could compete with other smartwatches like Apple’s Watch Series 4 & 5, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Watch Active & Active 2 and Fitbit’s Versa lineup. Recently, Google has released many improvement updates to the Wear OS smartwatches but nothing helped it to make them better watches.
The next Google event will start on October 15th and the clear picture will tell us is there a new Wear OS watch. Some sources have said recently that Google had stopped working on smartwatches back in 2016, but the new source is now confirming the upcoming Wear OS based Google watch. What do you think will Google launch its new smartwatch in the next event?
