The newly emerged documents in Italian authority hints Redmi is preparing for the Pro version of Redmi Band. The new fitness tracker has spotted on the Italian portal, after the launch of Mi Smart Band 6 NFC in the country. The Redmi Band is the name for the Indian variant of Mi Smart Band 4c, which launched last year. With the name listing, Redmi wants to enter with the name in the European market. The name Pro suggests there would be advanced or forward-looking features to keep eye on the 2022 lineup.
The model number discovered in the filing is M2101B1 assigned to the next Pro smart tracker. Point to be noted, the device with the same model number has been gone through the Bluetooth SIG certification site. The product with the same name has certified months ago, which could give signs of near launching. In the Pro model, we can expect better features like SpO2, stress, breathing, REM sleep, custom watch faces, and a better-looking display. All these features were missed from the previous Redmi Band as it was labeled as a cheap tracker.
In Italy, Xiaomi has today launched the NFC version of Mi Smart Band 6 to use contactless payments. The non-NFC version is already available in the country, and now, the NFC variant will open more possibilities. The Redmi Band had launched around October in India, so we can safely say Redmi Band Pro may launch at the same time this year. A month passes, the more data will come ahead to tell us more.
