Samsung announced the launch of its new Galaxy Watch device along with its premium smartphone Galaxy note 9 on August 9th. In the US this watch was available for pre-orders and most recently it is also released for all the customers. The customers in US can buy this watch now directly from Amazon, Best Buy and Samsung Online Store without need of any pre-order. The 46mm model available for $349.99 and the smaller model available for $329.99. The new Samsung smartwatch is built with Tizen 4.0 OS which comes with many updated features.
The newly launched Galaxy Watch is available in two different size options 42mm and 46mm for the customers with 20mm and 22mm watch bands. Both the models have Super AMOLED HD display protected with Corning Gorilla glass DX+. The circular bezel on the wearable will rotate to navigate you through Tizen interface. These size variants have different battery like 42mm model has 270mAh battery and 46mm has 472mAh battery. Samsung claims that both of these size variants have long enough battery life and estimated period for 42mm model is 120 hours while for 46mm model it would be 168 hours.
The smartwatch is available in LTE only and Bluetooth only models. LTE models have 4GB internal storage capacity and 1.5 GB RAM whereas Bluetooth models have 4GB internal storage and 768MB RAM. The 42mm model is available in two color options of Midnight Black and Rose Gold while the 46mm model is available in Silver color only. T-Mobile will sell the this watch LTE model of 42mm for $375 and 46mm model for $400 where as Bluetooth model of 42mm and 46mm would cost for $330 and $360 respectively.
Samsung Galaxy Watch has Health tracking system which is more reliable and updated over its predecessors like Samsung Gear S3 & Gear Sport wearables. This health tracking system also detect your stress level by measuring the heart rate and it can also monitor your sleep. Along with US Samsung is taking pre-orders from various other markets around the world. Samsung set the September 14 as a date to launch the watch worldwide. South Korea is set to get the watch on August 31.
