The second generation Samsung Gear smartwatch, Gear S2 is surprisingly getting new software update. It is the Samsung’s efforts to bring its old smartwatch in the current waves. This new firmware version will bring important features to Gear S2 watch. This firmware has released in all countries and it has come with full pack of features. I don’t remember when last time Samsung was released important update for older Gear watch, well not in the past 2 years. This time to give new experience to all Gear S2 users company has rolled out new improvements. The main added feature is enhanced user interface, everything has changed in new avatar.
All the app shortcuts, notifications and app widgets have changed as per the round screen. It gives new look to your home screen and the new way to pull down fast settings on main screen is much easier. Users can set brightness, volume and airplane mode from the quick setting menu. Samsung Health app has dramatically improved in new software piece. It is now more user friendly than before. It becomes very easy to keep track on your all health related information such as heart rate and fitness records.
The third and one of the important feature is your Gear S2 will work as a remote controller. It is now possible to connect your Gear watch with TV with the help of some controller apps or Gear VR controller. This way it is easy to show your presentation or other important files on big screen. The last function is weather information is now provided. You can get all the information about current weather and some useful alerts like temperature, wind chill and possibility of rain.
To download new software update go to Samsung Gear app and hit on install. Let me clear, this is not Tizen 3.0 software version. It is just an update which brings lots of features into it. Samsung Gear S3 & Samsung Gear Sport have got new Tizen 3.0 version. But we can’t say its availability on second generation Gear wearable. If you are using Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch then you can install new firmware. Already using it, then share your review about this new update.
