The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Watch is ready to hit the market very soon. It is the next watch in the series of Samsung Gear and the successor of Samsung Gear S3. This new wearable smartwatch is updated with various features over its previous version. The Samsung Galaxy Watch is available in two sizes 42mm and 46mm with 20 and 22mm watch bands fitting all wrist sizes, where as the Samsung Gear S3 is available in 46mm size only. The third generation Gear watch comes with Frontier & Classic models. The Gear S3 is running on Tizen 3.0 OS while the Galaxy Watch has an advantage of the next version Tizen 4.0 software.
The Galaxy Watch models have Super AMOLED HD display with waterproof mechanism, that’s easy to carry it even when going for the swimming. The Gear S3 has 1.3 inches display which is protected by Corning Gorilla glass SR+. The Galaxy Watch 42mm model has 1.2 inches display and 46mm model has 1.3 inches display protected with Corning Gorilla glass DX+ which is better than compared to its predecessor versions. You have two color options in Galaxy Watch 42mm model like Midnight Black and Rose Gold where as 46 mm model will be available in Silver color only. Gear S3 was available in limited color options.
Samsung Galaxy Watch has Samsung Exynos 9110 Dual core 1.5 GHz processor while Gear S3 is built with Exynos 7270 Dual-core 1.0 GHz processor. These both the watches are available in LTE and Bluetooth models. Samsung Gear S3 has 768 MB RAM which is similar with Galaxy Watch 42mm model but the 46mm model of Galaxy Watch comes with 1.5GB RAM, where as both of these models have 4GB internal storage memory. Gear S3 has 380mAh non-removable battery, where Galaxy Watches two variants 42mm model has 270mAh battery and 46mm model has 472mAh battery. Both these models have excellent battery life provided with appropriate conditions.
Both Samsung wearables supports more than 60 thousand watch faces and thousands of apps and games. Samsung has the facility of fitness technology in its smartwatches series, likewise in its predecessors Galaxy Watch also has fitness alert technology with improvements. Galaxy watches have inbuilt tracking features like sleep tracking, exercise tracking including heart rate and 39 different exercises, Galaxy watch will also track your stress level by measuring your heat rate. The Galaxy Watch LTE of 42mm will cost for $375 and 46mm model will cost for $400. The Bluetooth models of these devices of 42mm will cost for $330 and 46mm for $350, where as Samsung Gear S3 Frontier & Classic models available for nearly $349 in many countries.
