Samsung has officially closed new registrations for the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea. The beta program, which was available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, allowed users to experience One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 ahead of the stable release. According to the latest notice, the recruitment phase has now ended, and Samsung is no longer accepting new participants for the beta in the region.
The closure of registrations does not mean the beta program itself has ended. Instead, it indicates that Samsung does not plan to open any further recruitment phases for new testers. Users who are already enrolled in the beta program will continue to remain part of it and may still receive additional beta updates in the coming weeks.

The notice also highlights improvements in the beta participation process. Samsung has simplified the way users join and manage beta tests through the Beta Program Home, a dedicated space where users can view ongoing beta projects, participate in available tests, and access helpful information.
Participants only need to sign up for the beta program once and can then freely join or leave different beta tests. Overall, while new users in Korea can no longer join the Galaxy S25 One UI 8.5 beta, existing testers can expect further refinements and updates as Samsung moves closer to the final stable release.
