Thanks to Samsung’s decision to go with Wear OS that turns both companies into winner lists. The latest data from Counterpoint Research, both these companies have gained tremendous market shares in Q 2021 smartwatch sales. The numbers are higher than Apple, Huawei, Amazfit & IMOO companies. The Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic are the best performer which helped both companies to narrow the gap.
According to the research data, Samsung is now on 14.4% market shares & a Wear OS by Google on 17% market shares. The Wear OS’s market shares on the wings of Galaxy Watch 4 rises from only 4% in the same quarter of the last year. The new smartwatch helped Samsung to gain 14.4% shares from the previous 9.9% shares. Apple has witnessed a decline in the same quarter by losing nearly 6.2% shares. Apple is now on 21.8% shares from the king’s slice of 28% market shares.
Huawei is another company to see a huge decline in shipment. It has slipped to 5% market shares from 13.6%, which gave him a second spot in the previous year. Every year, Amazfit shows little growth, and this year too, it has gained 0.4% shares. Apple has delayed Watch Series 7 launch date to the 4th quarter. It is quite interesting to see how all the companies do in the latest quarter of this year.
