Suunto has introduced a new sports smartwatch in its Suunto 9 lineup. The Suunto 9 Peak is the latest sports watch, which is lighter, smarter, and thinner than the Suunto 9 Baro model. I tell you in the numbers, then the Peak variant is 37% thinner & 36% lighter than the Baro version. This improvement will help sportspersons to wear it more comfortably on the wrist. It includes GPS functionality, and this time the technology has much improved in outdoor activities. In the outdoor running and other sports modes, users will get better battery backup in GPS mode.
It sports a 1.2-inch or 43mm LCD display and supports an always-on display function. The newly added Tour Mode will provide 170 hours of battery life on the Peak. As per the company, the GPS tracking in Tour Mode reduces the number of satellite pings. In the single charge, users will get 25 hours of battery in GPS mode. When a battery goes down, you can charge it fully in one hour. In advanced health tracking, heart rate, sleep rate, and SpO2 monitor are available on the smartwatch.
Suunto 9 Peak comes with 80 sports modes including running, walking, hiking, climbing, Ellipse, Yoga, and many more. The watch is still not on sale in the market. It will go on sale from June 17. It has priced at $699 for the Titanium variant, and the Steel variant is available for $599.
