At launching, Mobvoi unveiled TicWatch Pro 3 LTE & GPS with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset. It was the first smartwatch to run on this chipset and also it has been advertised like that. Later, the company announced TicWatch E3 with the same processor. Now, Mobvoi has silently promoted both smartwatches to the latest processors. As the company advertised both watches on all its marketing platforms, the TicWatch Pro 3 & TicWatch E3 offer Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chipset.
It is not a mistake by the company (via Notebookcheck), but it has been upgraded without any promotion. The official website, Amazon listing, and the other online retailers now showing updated pages with Wear 4100+ processors for both watches. The company describes Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chipset as ‘Dual System Platform’ on the product page. On the Amazon US website, we can see updated models with a new processor, but in the countries like India, it still shows the previous product page.
As these watches get new processors, Mobvoi is also planning to launch the next TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra in the coming weeks. The YouTube video of a famous Italian YouTuber has revealed the next Mobvoi smartwatch. The leaked model is for the GPS-only variant, and there will be another LTE variant. As per the source, the next watch would get Mil-STD 810 to provide extra toughness.
