WatchOS 7 Brings Sleep Tracking, Wind Down & 4 New Workouts

In the WWDC event today, Apple has announced the most advanced WatchOS 7 version for Apple Watch lineup. The main attraction of the event is the sleep tracking function which has been pending for a quite long time. Almost all smartwatches or fitness bands users seek to use the sleep function to get the quality sleep. The Galaxy Watch Active 2, Mi Band 5, Honor MagicWatch 2, and Fitbit Charge 4, all industry-leading gadgets come with sleep tracking. Now, it is Apple’s turn to provide better services to users.

In the sleep mode, Apple Watch automatically turns on Do Not Disturb mode and dark theme. It uses an alarm to wake up, alert you if the battery might go down in the sleep. The new Wind Down mode lets you make pre-bedtime routine across Apple Watch & iPhone. It alerts you with the soundtrack or with the meditation app. Apple has made handwashing mandatory for the 2020 situation. You will get the Handwashing app in the App Store. Users can now share their watch faces with other users. Also, Apple has added some new watch faces with lots of complications.

WatchOS 7 Features

New 4 workout modes – core training, dance, cold down, and functional strength training introduced for various types of users. The Activity app will now be called simply Fitness. The new feature will tell you how much you should listen to music on headphones and its side effects if you overdoing it. Additionally, Cycling direction, Siri translation, and some other little changes are coming to Apple Watch. Watch OS 7 will support Apple Watch Series 3, Series 4, Series 5 & the upcoming Apple Watch Series 6 devices.
