Will Galaxy S26 Ultra have Snapdragon or Exynos Chip?

August 20, 2025

The recent news about the Exynos chipset on the Galaxy S26 Pro has raised questions among Galaxy users. It is an early report, but now more users are concerned about the other Galaxy S26 variant. We all know Samsung is preparing to launch its Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, and one of the biggest questions among fans has been whether the new flagship will use Snapdragon or Exynos processors.

Recent leaks and firmware testing tools have finally cleared the air—the Galaxy S26 Ultra will exclusively feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor across all global markets.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Processor

This decision aligns with Samsung’s strategy over the past few years. Starting with the Galaxy S23 Ultra and continuing through the Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra, the company standardized Snapdragon processors worldwide for its Ultra models to ensure consistent performance. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to continue that tradition, offering top-tier power, efficiency, and AI-driven capabilities.

On the other hand, Samsung is also planning a major return for its Exynos processors. Reports suggest that the Exynos 2600, built on Samsung’s advanced 2nm process, will be used in the Galaxy S26 and possibly the S26 Edge or Plus variants, especially in markets like European and Asian countries.
