    One UI 5.0 Beta Update for Galaxy S22 Released

    In a big update, Samsung is releasing the One UI 5.0 beta software update for Galaxy S22 series smartphones. The Android 13-based beta version is now rolling out in South Korea & Germany. It is a big surprise for users, as Samsung first gives prior notice to users that the beta testing program will start soon. Later, after a few weeks, it was officially released. This year, it has directly dispatched a beta version. It may be because of the delay in the previously scheduled schedule.

    In a new One UI 5.0 beta version, users can test new features, changes, and other services before others. It brings changes to the notification center, app icons, increased background opacity, and many more.

    The Optical character recognition, app permission pop-up menu, improvements in the Gallery app, and speed and smoothness in animation are major highlights in the Android 13 version. Some changes have directly borrowed from Google’s Android 13 skin.

    One UI 5.0 Beta Update

    The users of Galaxy S22, S22+ & S22 Ultra can apply and download the beta firmware version. You can identify the new beta version by S90*BXXU2ZHV4 firmware number. It is an initial build, so there may be some bugs in the software code.

    Samsung will soon release a beta update for Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones.     It’s August and there is no news from Samsung about the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta launching. It should have been announced in the third week of July or at the end of July, but we never received any update. Now, it is confirmed the beta program for the next One UI has been postponed to an unknown date, and we are not sure when. According to the Android 13 Security Bulletin, Google has postponed the next Android version release to September.

    In the release notes inside the Android 13 Security Bulletin, Google mentioned releasing the Android 13 version in September. It means for a reason Samsung is delaying the announcement of the beta testing program for the last few weeks.

    In the previous few beta versions of Android 13, users have found some serious issues, and Google is working on them. Still, the latest beta version from Google is unstable, and that’s why Samsung might want to hold its beta planning.

    One UI 5.0 Beta News

    If everything goes right, then we could see official beta joining posters in the Samsung Members app in the next few weeks. The firmware testing tools have already discovered the latest firmware builds for Galaxy S22 series & Galaxy S21 series smartphones.

    Samsung has updated its Samsung Blockchain Wallet app today to a new app version. In the latest version, the app gets Android 13 or One UI 5.0 software support. The app description mentions Android T support, where T indicates the Android 13 version. In its app description, Samsung still refers to Alphabets to show the Android version, so it makes sense. For the Android 12-based One UI 4.x version, it always referred Android S version.

    We know One UI 5.0 will be the next major One UI update from the company. Also, Samsung is preparing itself for a beta testing program for One UI 5.0, and this is the start of it. After the installation, users can use the Blockchain Wallet app when the next software is ready. As per SamMobile, Samsung will open a beta testing program from the third week of July.

    The stable version for Android 13 will start in October this year. Further, Galaxy S22 series devices will be the first to receive beta as well as stable versions. Note that, before the One UI 5.0 version, Samsung will dispatch the One UI 4.1.1 software update.

The same sources had previously reported the July launch date, and now, they are more confident about the third week of July.

    Further, the trusted website also claims that the public release or the stable version of One UI 5.0 software will be distributed in October 2022. The Galaxy S22 series will be the first smartphone to join the beta testing program.
