It’s August and there is no news from Samsung about the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta launching. It should have been announced in the third week of July or at the end of July, but we never received any update. Now, it is confirmed the beta program for the next One UI has been postponed to an unknown date, and we are not sure when. According to the Android 13 Security Bulletin, Google has postponed the next Android version release to September.
In the release notes inside the Android 13 Security Bulletin, Google mentioned releasing the Android 13 version in September. It means for a reason Samsung is delaying the announcement of the beta testing program for the last few weeks.
In the previous few beta versions of Android 13, users have found some serious issues, and Google is working on them. Still, the latest beta version from Google is unstable, and that’s why Samsung might want to hold its beta planning.
If everything goes right, then we could see official beta joining posters in the Samsung Members app in the next few weeks. The firmware testing tools have already discovered the latest firmware builds for Galaxy S22 series & Galaxy S21 series smartphones.
Further, Samsung has officially announced the new One UI 5 Value Up Challenge program for Samsung Community users in South Korea. In the program, valuable users in the Members app can get their hands on the next beta versions before others.
