Expert RAW App Now Supports Galaxy Z Fold 3
Samsung has expanded the Expert RAW app for foldable phones in the latest app update. The mighty Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the first device in the foldable family to get the camera app. Previously, the support has extended to Galaxy S21 Ultra, but not its other brothers Galaxy S21 & S21+. It was first launched for the Galaxy S22, S22+ & S22 Ultra devices. With the compatibility of Galaxy Z Fold 3, it adds new members to the pro-grade app.
The latest app version 1.0.02.6 brings all the new camera features that we have seen on S21 Ultra. Along with new device support, it enhanced other features in the app. It will not take faster images in low-light visibility with its improved faster image processing.
As per the changelog, image quality has been improved in various scenes. It means while taking images in different conditions, you will see a slight improvement in the picture quality. All the other features with supporting modes are available in the app.
The app still has to come for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is not on the list to get support. It will soon release for Z Flip 3 in June.
The new Expert RAW app version is available to download from Galaxy Store. The rollout has begun in all the major countries.

Smart Widget Comes to Foldable Phones with Z Fold 3
Samsung has introduced the Smart Widget feature with Galaxy S22 series devices. With One UI 4.1 update, it has been released for most of the flagship models including the Galaxy S21. The One uI 4.1 version was also distributed to Galaxy foldable phones, but they missed the features. When asked by an official member, he had confirmed to release in the June update. Now, Samsung is rolling out a new function to Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the latest firmware version.
The smart widget function on the devive will combine useful widgets in a single format to save space and display context-sensitive information. Along with it, Samsung added new settings to the ‘Apps from Unknown Sources’ feature. Users can disallow all third-party apps which could be malicious. The vibrating sound has also been added in the Sound & vibration section.
Finally, it has enhanced the overall quality of the device by squashing minor bugs. The new software F926NKSU1CVEE is currently rolling out in South Korea will reach soon other countries. It will also bring this function to other foldable phones including Z Fold 2 & Flip 3 in the coming days.

YouTube Music for Galaxy Watch 4 Receives Major Update
YouTube Music for galaxy Watch 4 has today received its first major update since launch. It was launched for the Samsung Watch right after its announcement in August, and now it is popular among music listeners. In the update, Google introduced Tile for the YouTube Music app for Wear OS 3 watches. The Galaxy Watch 4 series run on Wear OS 3 version, so you can now see the new Tile after the new app version. You will find the Tile in the new 5.06.40 app version.
The new tile will add an app shortcut to the watch. It will show the current playing song with the artist’s name and album’s name. It becomes easy to control music by stopping or resuming the current playing song from the shortcut. Along with the latest app version, Google has announced to bring more features to the smartwatch app. It announces to launch music streaming service for Galaxy Watch 4 family. It let users forget their smartphones at home, and play music on the smartwatch.
Users will be able to stream music using the LTE network or Wi-Fi connectivity. Right now, users can only download the music songs on the watch, and play them. There is no update on when it will release but the move is welcomed by users. Spotify is the only app to offer all the features to its users. Google is slowly catching up with its rivals, and these app updates are the start of it.

New 8.15 Beta Updates for Fenix 7 & Epix 2 come with measure bugs
Today Garmin has released a new beta version 8.15 for Fenix 7 series and Epix Gen 2 smartwatches. Like the previous 8.13 beta updates, the new version also included added features and fixed bugs. Well, looks like in the process of squashing known bugs Garmin has added a few more. On the official Garmin forum, the company announced it has noticed two major bugs in the beta software. According to the official note, the new 8.15 version will interfere tracking of stress and sleep data.
It has requested users to not install this beta version until the company comes up with a fix. If you have already installed the new beta, then you should reboot your smartwatch to resume the stress and sleep tracking. Users can also revert to the previous public version if they want, but it will take them back to the 7.35 public version. Also, the backdating software will revert all the settings to the default settings.

We are now aware of a bug in the v8.15 update which can interfere with the tracking of stress and sleep data. Luckily, the tracking of this data will resume after a simple reboot of the watch (turning it off and turning it back on again.) If you have already installed the update, please perform this reboot of your watch to correct this problem.
If you would like to avoid this bug entirely, we recommend that you do not install the v8.15 update. If you have already installed this update, remember that you have the option to revert to the current public version of the software, v7.35. Please note that backdating software will revert your watch to default settings.

Samsung Digital Car Key Supports More Cars
Samsung has enabled the Digital Car Key function on some of its flagship models. Initially, the function was only supported with the Genesis GV60 car model. Now, Samsung has added two new car companies to the list. The car key can now be used with some premium BMW & Kia models. The company has today announced the key will support BMW’s premium 1 to 8 series, X5 to X7 series, Z4, i4, IX3 & IX series models. The support has also come to Kia’s Niro model and Genesis’ G90 car model.
In the supported list, Genesis GV60 & G90 cars work with NFC as well as UWB or Ultra Wide-Band technology. All the other BMW & Kia models support only NFC technology to control the cars. The UWB technology uses a short-range wireless communication protocol that uses radio waves to operate. With the car key, users can lock or unlock their cars, open the trunk, start the engine, and adjust seats and mirror positions.
Users can also give their cars to friends and family for a specific time, and control them with the function. Samsung uses embedded Secure Element (eSE) to protect your sensitive information and encryption keys. To use the Digital Car Key function, you should download Samsung Pass on your smartphone. It is available in the Galaxy Store. Also, you can look for the car company’s official app for support. Samsung’s Digital Car Key only works with the Galaxy S21 series, Note 20 Ultra, Z Fold 2, Fold 3, Flip 3 & the new Galaxy S22 series.

Wear OS 3 is Not Coming Soon for Fossil Watches
The latest version for Wear OS had announced along with Galaxy Watch 4 duo. Since then, it is the only smartwatch that is enjoying all the goodies of new software. After the complaints of users of Wear OS-based watches, Google announced the update for other watches will come in 2022. As per the official schedule of Fossil & Mobvoi, the Wear OS 3 should have launched in early 2022. Now, it looks like, it was just an advertising stunt. The new statement from Fossil confirms the new version will not be coming soon for the Fossil watches.
In the response, the official Twitter handler of Fossil stated that Wear OS 3 update for Fossil Gen 6 & Gen 5 will launch in the mid to second half of 2022. The irony is Gen 6 & Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra have launched in 2021, still, they are running on the previous Wear OS 2 version. Hi! Eligible Wear OS smartwatches will have the option to opt-in and upgrade their devices to Wear OS 3 starting in the mid to second half of 2022.
The delay could be also related to Google’s Pixel Watch. For sure, the next Google or Fitbit watch will run on Wear OS 3 version, and Google don’t want to let other players steal the show. After the launch of the Pixel Watch or Fitbit Watch, other watches will get a new version. For a reminder, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic are now running on Wear OS 3.2 version. One UI 4.1 Update Released for Galaxy S21 Series
Yesterday, Samsung announced the One UI 4.1 version for older Galaxy smartphones. It is now rolling out for Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Flip 3 smartphones in some countries. Looks like foldable phones are not the only devices that are receiving the update. The Galaxy S21 users are also getting One UI 4.1 updates in Canada. As per the Galaxy S moderator in South Korea, the update was supposed to release early next week in the home country. Now, the rollout indicates the statement is only applicable for South Korean users.
According to the users in Canada, Galaxy S21 series receive a new firmware version G99*WVLU5CVBA in the country. With the One UI 4.1 version, Samsung has brought plenty of new features including camera functions. Not all the camera features will land on three devices. The S21 Ultra users can use the Expert RAW app and all other added features. For Galaxy S21 & S21+ models, the company brings Night portrait mode for the front camera, Lightning position editing, Telephoto lens support for portrait video, and enhanced Director’s view.
Further, it comes with separate storage for front & rear camera videos and pop-up window control functions. Apart from that, it gets Google Duo integration and Snapchat for Samsung services. Finally, it includes updates for Gallery, Samsung Health, Calendar, and Samsung Keyboard apps. The new version is available in Canada, and it comes with Android’s February security patch.

Samsung Announces Galaxy S22 Camera Features for Older Models
With the new Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has introduced some new features to the camera. Further, there are also new features that have been launched on the Expert RAW app. Now Samsung is bringing all those One UI 4.1 camera features to the older devices. The Galaxy S21 Ultra will today receive a stable Expert RAW app to enhance camera performance. The app will now support outside South Korea for S21 Ultra. Coming back to new camera features, not all functions will come to all the devices.
Here is the list of features that will come to specific models.

• Enhanced Director’s view – Galaxy S21 series, Z Fold 3 & Flip 3
• Add a telephoto lens to pro/pro video mode – Galaxy S21 Ultra, S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra Fold 3 & Fold 2
- Expert RAW (Separate app) – Galaxy S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, S21 Ultra, Z Fold 2, & Fold 3
Apart from that, it will bring a pop-up window control function & separate storage function for front & rear camera videos to all these devices. It also improved playback & editing on these devices. Finally, Samsung has made a few changes to the mode positions and moved them to the new locations. All these features will come to supported models in the One UI 4.1 update, which could start rolling out from today.

Galaxy Watch 5 & Next Buds to Get Skin Temperature Function
In the rumor mill of Galaxy Watch 4, there was one function that was continuously coming in the list of tipsters. We are talking about the Skin temperature measurement function that could have launched on the current Samsung watch, but delayed to an unknown date. Now as per the news source, Samsung could launch skin temperature on Galaxy Watch 5. The reports came from ETNews, and the publication house is confident about it. It will be the first time any watch will have this feature if Samsung makes it possible.
It is not easy to track someone’s body heat in a sign of high fever. The temperature can go high due to different reasons like sun exposure & workouts. Galaxy S22 Series will Get Camera Boost in Early March (Update: Released)
Update: Samsung is now releasing its first major update for Galaxy S22 series devices. The firmware version S9**NKSU1AVBH is rolling out with the March security patch & the download size is over 1.2GB. Last week, the company had mentioned releasing new firmware in early March, and it is now live in its home country. In the new software, Samsung has enhanced camera capabilities & taken care of minor issues. Original Story follows: Samsung’s new Galaxy S22 series is getting overwhelmed responses from all the major countries. Thanks to its top-notch performance that gets the attention of users in the first sale. On the new series, apart from its other features, the camera is also one of the major parts that have been grabbed attention. Now to make it one of the best camera phones, Samsung has today announced more features to the Galaxy S22 devices. First, from today, the Galaxy S22 series users can use the Expert RAW app on their phone to extend the camera capability.
Further, Samsung has scheduled to launch the first major update for the Galaxy S22 in early March. In the official announcement, Camera in Charge has mentioned there will be a camera update for the S22 models to enhance camera quality. In the next update, Samsung will remove the Auto HDR function from Camera settings. Samsung is also increasing shooting time in night mode to 30 seconds when shooting in dark areas with the ultra-wide-angle camera fixed on a tripod.
Here are the changes that will come with the next update.
1. The Auto HDR menu has been simplified to always provide optimal image quality regardless of the shooting environment. The ‘Auto HDR’ menu in the camera settings will be deleted after the update. If you do not want HDR shooting, you can shoot in Pro mode or turn off ‘Auto HDR’ in Expert RAW to take the desired picture.
2. Improved usability by adding an option to keep the used camera in portrait mode. Go to ‘Keep Settings’ in the camera settings and check the ‘Portrait Mode Lens’ item.
3. The shooting time in Night Mode has been increased to 30 seconds to take brighter pictures when shooting in very dark environments with the ultra-wide-angle camera fixed on a tripod.

Samsung Brings Camera Controller Feature to Galaxy Fit 2
Every user thought Samsung has stopped supporting Galaxy Fit 2, and there will not be any update in the future for the band. Now with the surprise, Samsung has released a new firmware update for the Galaxy Fit 2 that brings major features. The company has brought a Camera Controller feature for the smart band. Apart from that, the users will see a call rejection message on the main screen. Further, it has added the Rope Jumping counting feature to the fitness tracker.
The camera controller feature is not new to Galaxy Watch users. It has launched with Galaxy Watch Active 2, and since then, it is part of every Galaxy smartwatch. Even the Fit 2 rivals like Mi Smart Band 5 & Band 6 support it. The feature is only supported with Samsung Galaxy devices and Android 7.0 or higher versions. It is not confirmed whether the controller function will come to other non-Samsung smartphones.
The previous update for the Fit 2 was distributed at the starting of last year, and since then, the fitness tracker never received any single software. Most users are waiting for the next-gen Galaxy Fit 3, but there is no word from Samsung about it. Fenix 7 series & Epix 2 Get First Updates, New Features for Epix 2
Garmin is very serious when it comes to new software updates for its all smartwatches and fitness trackers. Where last week the new Venu 2 Plus gets its first software, now the latest Fenix 7 lineup & Epix 2 watches are receiving their first software updates. The new firmware version 7.24 has been assigned to both smartwatches that comes with some major fixes and improvements. In the new version, Garmin Epix 2 has gained a display never turns off features when on the wrist. It has added after many users complained about it.
As per the changelog, both watches have received, “Added the ability to tap the left side of an item in the alarm list to edit that alarm. The right side of the item still toggles on/off, and press and hold anywhere still opens edit as well.” Apart from that, Garmin has fixed many other functions. Wear OS 3.2 Update is Now Available for Galaxy Watch 4
While other Wear OS smartwatches are waiting for Wear OS 3 version, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 series has received Wear OS 3.2 version. Coming to the point, when Samsung is receiving another major update with Wear OS 3.2, other companies are still silent. Fossil & Mobvoi have confirmed to launch a new version of their Fossil Gen 6 & TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra in 2022. Now, the first month has already passed, but still, there is no sign of an update for the smartwatches. Like Samsung, other Wear OS partners should release major updates faster.

New Expert RAW App Update 1.0.00.21 Available with more Improvements
The new Expert RAW app has become an essential tool for camera performance. It is initially supporting on Galaxy S21 Ultra, though soon available for other flagship models. It is today receiving a third improvement update 1.0.00.21 to enhance the capability of the app, and to put all the broken pieces in the original place. As per the changelog shared by Ice Universe, the new version fixes issues with bad pixels while using a telephoto lens. There is also a fix for image quality in highly bright or saturated schenes.
In the previous version 1.0.00.16, the company had made its promise by providing better UI design for Adobe Lightroom. It had even fixed issues regarding picture quality in low light performance. With the 1.0.00.21 app update, users can see the clear difference in enhanced camera quality. It is not confirmed but the problem with shutter speed when getting long exposure images, and compatibility with voice command may have been fixed.

The Expert RAW app is exclusive to the Galaxy S21 Ultra since its launching in November last year. As per the Camera Incharge in Samsung Community, more devices will get support. The expected devices to receive the app are Galaxy S21, S21+, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 20, Note 20+, Note 20 Ultra, and the entire Galaxy Z Fold & Flip series. The compatible device list will be announced in February along with Galaxy S22 & One UI 4.1 launch event.

One UI 4.1 Firmware Spotted for Galaxy S21
In February, Samsung will announce Galaxy S22 series devices, and with it, Samsung will release the next One UI 4.1 version. Later one by one, the new version will come to older Galaxy devices. As per the information shared by Galaxy S Manager, in February, the Galaxy S21 series & Galaxy Note 20 series phones will first receive the upcoming One UI version. Now, as per the spotted firmware, Samsung is already started working on a new version for the Galaxy S21 lineup.
The leaked firmware shows, the number G99*BXXU4CVA2 has been assigned to the Galaxy S21 models. Though Galaxy Note 20 is also expected to get in the same month, the firmware build is not started yet. It means Samsung is near to launching the next version somewhere in February. The Galaxy S22 will be announced on February 08, so the older models may receive the next version at the end of February in major regions.
There is not much information about the upcoming One UI 4.1 version. According to SamMobile, in the next version, we could see better virtual RAM Plus management & better wallpaper-based color theme integration with Google apps. We will learn more about it when Samsung unveils it along with Galaxy S22.

I think Samsung will seed these new features on Galaxy A72 in its next update.
Update: Now, as per reported by some users, the new Galaxy A72 is also receiving same update. The Indian users are now getting this new version with the firmware number A725FXXU2AUF3. The Galaxy A52 received these features with July security patch, but Galaxy A72 is still on June update. The big brother will soon receive the July update in these countries.
