The leaked source code is now revealing many things about the upcoming Amazfit Band 7. In the previous article, we have covered its design and possible features. Now, by digging more into the source code, we have found out the new smart band will run on Zepp OS software. Yes, the tracker will have all the features of home-nurtured Zepp OS. It will be the first fitness tracker to run on Amazfit’s operating system.

The Zepp OS operating system is for now running on Amazfit GTS 3, GTR 3 & GTR 3 Pro smartwatches. It is refreshed, more polished, user-friendly, and faster software from the company. It had announced last year with the Amazfit GT series, but in a little time, it has grabbed attention.

Now, slowly it is gaining popularity, and more developers are launching new apps in the store. After GTR 3 Pro, Zepp Health has opened third-party apps on Amazfit GTS 3 & GTR 3. Some rumors claim, that Amazfit Band 7 will also support third-party apps, but we take it with a grain of salt for now.

The findings in the source code revealed it will have a rectangular display with improved resolution. It will get a password lock feature, which has recently been reintroduced on Mi Band 7. The GPS function comes with a new smart band that will improve location-based details.

Furthermore, the Amazfit Band 7 will have Amazon Alexa support, over 100 workout modes, 232mAh battery power, always-on display support, watch faces with customization mode, and improved SpO2 function. The smart band probably launch in the second half of 2022.
