Galaxy Watch Active 2 Update Fixes AOD & Calorie Calculation Issues

The new Samsung update is now seeding on the latest Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch. The latest version fixes two major issues on the smartwatch to enhance the user experience. The new firmware version R820XXU1BSK4 is now rolling out for Galaxy Watch Active 2 Bluetooth model in South Korea. The first fix into the software is for AOD off issue. Some users have complained about the Always-On display screen that goes off in some situations.

Many users use Always-on display feature while doing workouts as well as some other activities so this feature is helpful in such times. Samsung has now corrected heart-rate based calorie calculation by fixing the issues. In the last few updates, the company is continuously improving health tracking on its smartwatches & trackers and accurate calorie calculations are one of them. The Bixby has been enhanced into the newest software version to improve its capabilities so users could take most of it.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 Update

The 16.83MB firmware is available for Galaxy Watch Active 2 version and the LTE version may soon get it. South Korea is the first country to getting this version. To check the update, manually open the Galaxy Wearable app and head to Watch Software Update and tap on Download and install. This week, Galaxy Watch & Galaxy Watch active has received all the features of Active 2 to bring them closer to a new watch. If you are using an older Samsung smartwatch then install the latest update.

  1. I just bought the watch and I see the calorie calculation issues remain. I am searching for app that take the heart rate and do the calculation while I am doing a workout. To be fair it is a smart watch but the word active should be removed. I feel cheated with this word since I could have bought huawei watch gt 2 where even if it is big on my wrist it gives better data that what an active watch need to do pulse it is cheaper and power last longer.
