One UI 4.1.1 Release Date, Features & Eligible Devices

July (July 22): Samsung is now testing the upcoming One UI 4.1.1 software update for the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone. A Reddit user has found the company is testing new software for the S21 Ultra. The firmware version G998BXXU5DVGA has been found in the One UI finding tool. The leaked firmware surely tells us something big is coming for the smartphone, We are not sure if Samsung calls it by name or just seeds new features on the Ultra model. For information, the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 version is for foldable & tablet devices.

Update (July 15): The One UI 4.1.1 is almost confirmed for the next foldable phones and Galaxy tablets. To make it ready for all users, Samsung is now updating their existing apps in support of upcoming versions. After OHO+, the company has now updated Nice Catch & Samsung Galaxy Themes apps, reports Sammyfans. In the new app version, both apps now support the next One UI 4.1.1 version. The Nice catch is part of the Good Lock app, and the other provides various themes for Galaxy users. Update both apps to get the best services on your device.

It has now been confirmed Samsung will announce a One UI 4.1.1 update instead of a One UI 4.5 version. The official Samsung team member has given this answer, and it will release alongside Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Flip 4. In the last couple of months, we have received barely any news or leaks about the One UI 4.1.1 software. We know it will come with Galaxy foldable phones, and it will release for other devices in August, but not any features.

From the GoodLock manager, we at least know there will be fixes for the Wonderland module. Samsung has not even mentioned which devices will get the next update. Now, with our own study, we will look closely that which Galaxy devices will get the One UI 4.1.1 firmware update. Like the previous One UI 3.1.1 version, this one will also target Galaxy Tab series and Galaxy Z series devices.

Most devices from this list will not see the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. The devices which have released in early 2019 will be opted out from the next Android 13 version due to hardware limitations and Samsung’s software policy. One thing is for sure, these devices will get the upcoming One UI 4.1.1 version.
