Fitbit Adds Google Assistant to Fitbit Sense & Versa 3

Fitbit adds support of Google Assistant to its Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 smartwatches currently only in the US for now. The roll-out of this update will begin later today but these smartwatches are yet to arrive in India. Many other features will also add after the exclusive Fitbit OS 5.1 update like the addition of a blood oxygen monitor feature. Further, a more improved and clear calling and messaging option.

You will also have an option to choose between two voice assistants as the smartwatch already had Amazon Alexa in it and now Google Assistant. This update has made the smartwatch the first watch to have two built-in voice assistants, in it which according to the company, you can switch anytime between the assistants using the companion app.

The update also brings in support for audible replies from Alexa. Therefore, now you don’t have to read the replies from Alexa that appear on the screen, but you can hear it through the built-in speakers on the watch. In the same way, you can now answer calls and messages through your watch if your phone is nearby when earlier you could only accept or reject calls.

This update will enable voice-to-text commands to reply to your text messages making it more and convenient. Lastly, the SpO2 blood oxygen sensor has been upgraded and improved. The price of the watches announced was Rs 34,999 for Fitbit Sense while the Fitbit Versa 3 was priced at Rs 26,499 in India.
