Galaxy S23 to Use only Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor, no Exynos Model

The new report for the next Galaxy S23 series claims Samsung could only choose Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor. The new claims have come from two popular tipsters who have almost the same opinions. The first tipster Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Samsung will only go with one processor due to its superior performance compared to its home-grown chipset. He previously mentioned that the decision will also apply to the Galaxy S24 smartphone series.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the company has taken this decision because there is no match for Qualcomm’s 5G modem. It is integrated with the next SM8550 chipset which will reveal in Gen 2 chipset.

Recently, Qualcomm announced its award-winning Snapdragon X70 5G modem technology. It is built on a 4nm fabrication method of TSMC. The tipster reveals that it is hardly replicated by any competitor at this moment, including Samsung.

As per the report, the new 5G modem will boost the performance in 5G speed, coverage, power efficiency, and low latency. The other tipster Ice Universe also agrees with the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550) processor.

The Ice Universe claims that the upcoming Qualcomm processor is 15% more energy efficient than the Snapdragon 8+ chipset. If both tipsters come true, then we will see only Qualcomm chipset on the Galaxy S23 series in every market. The company may announce Galaxy S23 in January or February next year.
