Xiaomi has launched Mi Band 7 in China and is ready to launch it in the global market as Xiaomi Smart Band 7. There is also a rumor it could launch a Pro version of the new smart band, but not for sure. Xiaomi is releasing new bands, so how Zepp Health or former Huami can stay behind in this segment. As per new findings, the company is also planning to launch Amazfit Band 7 in the coming months. The tipsters have found its codename and other information in the source code of the Zepp app.

The emerged information reveals there are many changes to the next smart band. The codename ‘Bari’ which is assigned to Amazfit Band 7 has a rectangular shape. It will be the first time Amazfit will acquire a rectangular display. Previous bands Amazfit Band 5 & Band 6 have circular screens.

The screen size of the tracker may increase and also there would be an improvement in screen resolution. The display size may be comparable to the Redmi Smart Band Pro, which shares a rectangular screen.

The tipster Magical Unicorn further claims the fitness tracker to have a GPS function. The GPS function is missing from Mi Band 6 & Mi Band 7, but the Amazfit variant could revive it. The password function to lock the screen might come back with Band 7. Mi Band 4 had a lock with password feature and now came back on Mi Band 7.

Finally, the Amazfit Band 7 would have a bigger 232mAh battery. It is more than what Mi Band 7 offers. Recently, the mysterious Amazfit smart band appeared on the FCC website. The model number A2177 has been spotted on the site, and that could be the next Amazfit Band. The company may launch it in the second half of this year.
