The first major leak for the next Mi Smart Band 7 or Mi Band 7 suggests many changes could come to the band. According to the leaked source code, the next smart band would have a larger display. Xiaomi has always increased the size of every Mi Band, and this year too, it will increase it with 192 x 490-pixel resolution. The current Mi Band 6 is 1.56-inch in size, so this year we might not see many bumps in the display. Xiaomi could increase the number of workout modes to offer more to fitness-centric users.
The GPS support is also in the line to come with the next smart tracker. Rumors were sure about Mi Smart Band 6, but the GPS sensor was missing on it. Always on Display which lacks in the previous band could also join the force. Since Mi Band 4, all smart bands currently depend on the auto-screen off feature.
This time, users don’t have to rely on auto-screen off, and instead, they can use always-on display features. The smart alarm might help some lazy users to make a healthy habit in the morning.
The leaker Magical Unicorn further mentions, the codename ‘L66’ has been assigned to Mi Band 7. It will come with two model numbers – M2129B1 & M2130B1. One model in these will be sure for the NFC variant.
