Xiaomi has rolled out a new software version for the seventh-gen Mi Band 7 Pro smart tracker. The long waited firmware has brought some fixes and improved key areas. The changelog mentions it has added support to disable watch face editing. We know, from these bands, Xiaomi allowed users to customize watch faces as per their suitable fashion. The feature was always on, but the company thought to give it the option to disable it for no reason.
Further, it optimized weather cache logic and fixed the screen freezing issue reported by some users. The problem of the bracelet being unable to turn off the screen has been taken care of. Finally, users can expect a better experience with the smart band as Xiaomi has fixed several issues. It improved system stability and fixed minor known bugs that as a result may give faster performance and longer battery life.
The latest firmware version for Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro is V2.2.8, and it is available in all major countries. The regular Band 7 is yet to receive any new update that may also get soon. After the launch of Mi Band 8, the company has slowed down monthly updates for previous-generation bands. The Mi Band 6 has almost stopped getting any improvement updates, and Band 7 series is getting it once a quarter.
