Galaxy S20 gets One UI 2.5 Version, Galaxy S9 & Note 9 Will Get Soon

Samsung has today released a new software update for Galaxy S20 series smartphones that bring One UI 2.5 version. The all three 5G Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ & Galaxy S20 Ultra will get the new version. With the update, users can use some exclusive functions of Galaxy Note 20 on their flagship phone. The firmware version G98*BXXU4BTH5 is rolling out in most of the European countries. When we write this article, it is available in Germany, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands & Hungary. The other countries will get the firmware in the coming days.

At this moment, the LTE variants of the Galaxy S20 are not getting this version, but soon, they will join the force. As per the changelog, the update comes with Wireless DeX enhanced Pro Video Mode, the ability to change Single Take duration, and Android 10 navigation gesture in third-party launchers. Along with it, the users will see little improvements in the performance, and the bump in security with the August security patch.

Now, in the other exciting news, the Galaxy S9 & Galaxy Note 9 will also get One UI 2.5 version. Yes, it is not a rumor like we have seen with One UI 2.1 update. The news has come from Samsung itself and SamMoble has verified it. In the first half of this year, the users of Galaxy S9 & Note 9 were not even confident about getting One UI 2.1 update, and now Samsung has surprised them with One UI 2.5 firmware. It would be a major update for both these devices and would like to see which Note 20 functions come to these older flagship phones.
