Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update to the Galaxy S25, S25 FE, and Fold 7 devices, bringing Samsung’s latest Android 17-based software to its 2025 flagship phones. The rollout follows the initial One UI 9 release for the Galaxy S26 series and marks another major step in Samsung’s wider software rollout.
The stable release is based on Android 17 and brings the new One UI 9 experience to the S25 lineup. Samsung says One UI 9 introduces improvements across Galaxy AI, personalization, device management and everyday interactions.
Features announced by Samsung include improvements to Now Brief, new Generative and Editable Cards, My FanCam, Tap to Share, and the new Warranty and Care section in Settings.
The stable update for other regions is expected to start in the next few days. For Galaxy S25 owners, the practical next step is simple: open Settings > Software update > Download and install, and check whether One UI 9 is available.
If you don’t see the stable update yet, there is no need to assume that your phone has been skipped. The rollout is still expanding, and Samsung has not indicated that every Galaxy S25 device will receive it simultaneously.
After these flagship models, Samsung will soon release stable One UI 9 software for the Galaxy S23 series, S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, S23 FE, and S23 FE models.
