Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra owners will have to wait a little longer to get the stable One UI 9 update. A moderator in the Samsung community says the One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S26 series has been pushed to September 30, 2026, “as of now.” The note applies specifically to the B model in Thailand.
This comes as Samsung’s global One UI 9 rollout hits a stretch of uncertainty. The company began releasing the Android 17-based update for the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea on September 16, with other markets to follow.
Thailand was expected to get it sooner. Samsung’s Thailand announcement originally listed specific rollout dates, but those were later changed. Its current public message is much vaguer: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S25, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 series will receive One UI 9 during September.
Treat September 30 as community info, not official confirmation. It comes from a moderator’s post, and it also applies to Thailand, not a fresh Samsung-wide announcement. The screenshot also doesn’t show a firmware build number, update size or changelog, so don’t assume any of those details yet.
Keep an eye on “as of now.” Those two words matter. Samsung’s schedules can shift by region and device variant, so the date could move again.
For Galaxy S26 owners in Thailand, September 30 is the day to watch. One UI 9 brings changes to Galaxy AI, customization, privacy and everyday Galaxy features, and Samsung has said it will keep expanding to more devices and markets gradually.
