Samsung has officially started the One UI 9 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 6 series in South Korea and the US, marking an important step toward bringing Samsung’s latest smartwatch software to older Galaxy Watch models. The first beta release is now available for Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic users who are eligible for the program.
The beta firmware has been identified with the build number R960XXU2ZZI1 for the Galaxy Watch 6. This follows the earlier One UI 9 Watch beta releases for Samsung’s newer smartwatch models. Samsung had already started testing the software on the Galaxy Watch 8 series, followed by the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.

What Does One UI 9 Watch Bring?

Samsung is also expanding its health and fitness capabilities with features such as Cardio Load, improved sleep tracking, and additional health insights.
The software also adds improvements to workouts, safety features, and navigation. For example, Trackback can allow users to set waypoints and find their way back when exploring outdoors. The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra beta already includes features such as Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load, along with UI improvements and new widgets.
