Amazfit GTR & Amazfit GTS are the new entries into the smartwatch section from Huami in 2019. The company has promised to deliver the best services regarding health & fitness wellbeing. Now, as part of the services, Huami has today released a new software update for both Amazfit GTR & GTS smartwatches. The new firmware update V0.1.0.06 is now being rolled out on the GTR and brings PAI, the heart rate-based health indicator. Last year, PAI & Huami formed a partnership in the health department to provide services to users.
The PAI will replace the step count on the watch, and instead, it will use heart rate data as an indicator of personal activity. As per the company, PAI will help you better to know your health condition and act on it. Huami has also mentioned that the HUNT Fitness Study project has shown that people who keep their PAI value above 100 have a lower risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes. You can read more about the study in the PAI section in the Amazfit app or on the smartwatch.

To activate the PAI feature on the Amazfit GTR or GTS, go to the PAI menu and turn on continuous heart rate detection. Do any activity that gets your heart pumping and body moving to build a better PAI score. The latest firmware version is now rolling out in all major countries. It says that when you keep your score above 100, you will improve cardiorespiratory fitness and the health of your heart. To install the PAI update on Amazfit GTR & Amazfit GTS, go to the Amazfit app and “Check for update,” and install it manually.
