Amazfit GTR Update Brings Screen Timeout to Always-on Display
When Huami launched Amazfit GTR at that time the watch came up with basic features. In the beginning, Mi Band 4 & the GTR watch shared almost same functions. It made a huge difference when the company had released some significant updates to the Amazfit GTR. Like the last two updates wherein the November, it got PAI function to motivate you in a workout session. And in December it received custom watch face to add your style to the main screen. Now, the latest firmware is rolling out for the Amazfit GTR with a couple of features.
The firmware version V1.3.5.32 brings a screen timeout feature for Always-on Display. It will now allow users to set a specific time so after that watch will go on sleep. Previously, when you enable Always-on Display function then it always stays active until you turn it off. It always puts pressure on the battery life so to deal with now you can set time. For the lazy persons, the alarm ring time has increased to 30 seconds so yes, you have some extra seconds to wake up.
The other notable change in the new software is when the AGPS session expires, it will now remind you by pop-up. As per the changelog, it has fixed an occasional black screen problem. We haven’t received or heard any issues in this area but still, it is good that the company is taking care of every user. Skagen Falster 3 Spotted on Amazon, Releasing on January 25
A subsidiary of Fossil, Skagen is soon releasing new Falster 3 smartwatch on Wear OS platform. Fossil has made some remarkable smartwatches with Wear OS and the previous Fossil Gen 5 is the best example of it. Now our colleague has spotted upcoming Skagen Falster 3 on the Amazon that runs on Wear OS by Google. The leak reveals several features of the watch with the launch date of January 25. As we can see on the leaked image, the look of the watch is the same as its predecessor Falster 2. But we sure they have made some changes to it.
As the information we received, it gets heart rate & activity tracking, GPS, NFC functions along with swimproof design and smartphone notifications to stay you updated. In some pre-installed apps & services, you will get Google Pay, Google Assistant & Google Fit. On the Amazon, it listed with Black Silicone, Blue Silicone Gunmetal, Steel Mesh, and Leather -Silicone Backed variants of straps. Falster 3 promises 24 hours of battery life with regular use; previous Flaster 2 had also promised the same battery life.
The predecessor Falster 2 was launched in 2018 and many of us thought the third-generation watch would come in 2019. Now, finally, the official listing of the product on Amazon confirmed some of its features and the launch date. The price for the Falster 3 on Amazon has set to $295 for all the listed color straps. You can now pre-order the smartwatch on Amazon and you will get a delivery date after its launching on January 25.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 Update Fixes AOD & Calorie Calculation Issues
The new Samsung update is now seeding on the latest Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch. The latest version fixes two major issues on the smartwatch to enhance the user experience. The new firmware version R820XXU1BSK4 is now rolling out for Galaxy Watch Active 2 Bluetooth model in South Korea. The first fix into the software is for AOD off issue. Some users have complained about the Always-On display screen that goes off in some situations.
Many users use Always-on display feature while doing workouts as well as some other activities so this feature is helpful in such times. Samsung has now corrected heart-rate based calorie calculation by fixing the issues. In the last few updates, the company is continuously improving health tracking on its smartwatches & trackers and accurate calorie calculations are one of them. The Bixby has been enhanced into the newest software version to improve its capabilities so users could take most of it.
The 16.83MB firmware is available for Galaxy Watch Active 2 version and the LTE version may soon get it. South Korea is the first country to getting this version. Mi Band 5 Would Support NFC Outside China
Xiaomi’s latest Mi Band 4 has become successful in the global market, and in China, it made history by selling over 1 million units in just eight days. Now the company is looking forward to introducing its fifth-generation Mi Band 5 fitness tracker. As we got the information from sources, Xiaomi wants to make the next band more advance & more durable to stay ahead in the market. As per the source, Xiaomi would launch next Mi Band 5 with NFC feature in the global market. At present, Xiaomi’s bands have NFC function limited to China.
In China, NFC supports contactless payments, uses as work pass & also makes a replacement for a bus card. These all features will be supported on Mi Band 5 international version as well as might supports in many other ways. After the launch, we will know in how many ways it can be used on the Mi Band 5. Xiaomi has given hint that the next Mi Band 5 will unveil in the Q2 2020, as the company launches a new Mi Band every year.
The demand for the NFC version of Mi Band 4 is so high that many users order it from China to their home country. Compare to Mi Band 3, this year more Mi Band 4 users are ordering the NFC version from China to their country. We think this may be one of the reasons Xiaomi probably releases NFC support in other countries.

Mi Band 4 Update Gets Auto Screen Off Feature
Xiaomi has started to seed a new software update on its Mi band 4 fitness tracker that adds auto screen off feature. Since, the last few weeks, users were talking about the latest version and finally, they have a chance to use it in real. The users in Turkey are first to witness the new firmware on their modern tracker. The firmware version 1.0.7.04 is now pushing that can change the behavior of screen time out. Users can alter the screen time out setting as they need and by default, it will set to 5 seconds. The other settings in the screen time out delay is 6,7,8,9 & 10 seconds.
In the last software, Xiaomi has added custom watch faces & improved swim tracking to the wearable. As per the user’s demand, Mi asked users to submit their favorite watch faces that they want to see on their bands.

Mi Band 4 Update Adds Watch Faces & Improves Swim Tracking
Xiaomi has released a new update for Mi Band 4 to improve its quality. The update was released in China that brings more than 18 custom watch faces on the fitness band and improved swim tracking score. The small firmware is hitting on the band with version 1.0.6.16 to improve the overall quality & it is now available in China for both NFC & non-NFC versions. The users reported swim tracking has improved a lot, and you will see the difference under the water.
Earlier, the company has conducted data for the new watch faces to introduce them to the fitness band. Users had a choice to choose watch faces design from different categories & submit them. The options were Anime, technology, business & game themes and now you will see all those shortlisted custom watches faces in the library. Most of the users have chosen anime & game characters, and some have chosen watch faces that cab shows essential details on the main screen.

The new leaked video of Fitbit Versa 2 has revealed more details about the upcoming smartwatch. First thing first, Alexa will be the voice assistant that will guide you, make your calls, set reminders, gives fitness tips, and play music for you.
Yes, you can make or receive calls with the help of Alexa and also arrange the meeting. If you need some information then ask Alexa, it will search online to provide you related information.
The other features include Fitbit Pay & Spotify integration. Fitbit Pay is supported on selected Fitbit watches, and the next wearable will be one of them. The official Fitbit Versa 2 images & box has leaked online that confirms many features of the upcoming smartwatch. Earlier this month famous leakster @evleaks first shown us a picture of Versa 2 and the new Amazon Alexa voice assistant on the wearable. Now it confirms Amazon Alexa will be your voice assistant on Versa 2 that will do a lot more than you thought.
We have the first image from Versa 2 manual guide shows how Amazon Alexa is capable and how it will guide you in the daily routine. The Alexa will give you weather reports in your area, guide you in the fitness, control connected items, solve your queries & many more.
The other detail comes from the official OLX page of Bulgaria, which has posted images of Versa 2 on its selling page. It confirms the name Versa 2 and upcoming features of the wearable.
The watch will come with Fitbit Pay support. Users can add credit & debit cards to make purchases right from their watch. Minimal Fitbit devices are supported Fitbit Pay, and Versa 2 will be one of them.
The company has added over 18+ exercise modes and sleep tracking, sleep score with heart rate monitoring features. According to the details, Fitbit has promised 4+ days longer battery backup and enough storage to store more than 300 songs. The source claim September 15 is the release date, and the company will officially announce it on August 25.
Year by year, Fitbit smartwatch market is showing negative results in the global smartwatch market. Apple & Samsung has stoled most of its customers with their future proof smartwatches. It is the time for Fitbit to gain some market shares with its upcoming Versa 2 smartwatch.

Oppo & Huawei Are Ready to Launch Next Smartwatches
The Huawei once was active in smartwatch business and had been grabbed the attention of many customers worldwide was quiet for some time on an issue with the US government. It could be going to change soon that world’s one of the largest smartphone maker is ready to introduce its mobile operating system, Harmony OS. The proprietary operating system for all smartphone & wearable devices.
Last year the company had launched Watch GT with Light OS, but it wasn’t run successfully although the battery backup was impressive.
Huawei Watch 2 & Watch 2 Pro were the only smartwatches on the market that can compete with other Apple & Samsung watches. Since last year, Huawei watches have been missing major Android Wear updates and it is going into benefits of Samsung, Apple & Fitbit.
The company knows the Wear OS market is shrinking & it is better to come up with its wearable ecosystem that will connect each device. Now Huawei has ideas with new Harmony OS and its configuration with all wearables & smartphones. It still unclarified when we can see the next gadgets running on Harmony and how the company will target its customers.
Oppo’s first smartwatch
The other news is China’s other company Oppo is making space for Wearable business. The Oppo has plans to launch smartwatches & fitness trackers in the market.
On the official Twitter account CEO of Oppo has revealed the company’s next move in wearable gadgets. He told future Oppo smartwatches & trackers will be seen in the second half of 2020. Right now, we don’t know anything about this smartwatch nor the official name, but I think in the coming weeks we will be hearing more about it.
Both are Chinese companies trying to make room in this business. If they want to deal with Apple & Samsung, then they have to come up with future-proof devices like Apple has launched Watch Series 4 & Samsung has introduced Galaxy Watch active 2.

Android Pie Update Now Rolling Out on Galaxy J7 Prime 2 In India
Samsung is now rolling out Android Pie update to its mid-range smartphone Galaxy J7 Prime 2. The latest firmware is currently available in India with May 1st Android security patch level. The new version will bring One UI interface to the device with G611FFDDU1CSD8 changelog to the firmware and it counts 1032 MB in size. This month Samsung has released new update to Galaxy J4+ & Galaxy On7 Prime smartphones with the same May Android security patch level. It is the fourth device to get May security update after which recently rolled out on Galaxy Note 8 & Galaxy A9 & On7 Prime smartphones.
Samsung was promised to provide Android Pie to Galaxy j7 Prime 2 in the month of June, but today, surprisingly it delivered new firmware changelog to this mid-range smartphone. With the latest software, users can taste One UI experience instead of older Experience 10 UI. The update suppose to improve battery performance and let it run smoothly in heavy usage, which we might come to any conclusion when we use it later on.
The Android update has just released on Galaxy J7 Prime 2 device so be patient if you have not got it yet. It may hit on your device in few hours. To check for latest update on your smartphone, go to Settings > Software Update & then hit on Download Update Manually.

Google Pay Badly Damaged In Android Q Beta Version
The latest Android Q Beta program is now available and enthusiastic users can enroll for that. Yet there is waiting of few more months for the release of stable version, users can enjoy all the features with this beta program. However, this Android Q Beta 3 program is not free from bugs and flaws. Many users who are enrolled for this version have reported issues of bugs which includes breakdown of Google Pay. Some users have already complained that Google has removed support of Android Beam which were allowed users to share pictures & other documents in easy way.
Now users have reported trouble in Google Pay, who are enrolled with the beta release. Probably the problem occurs due to the SafetyNet issue which was also happened at the release of Android P last year. Some users get notifications which says that their device has been altered and Google Pay wouldn’t function on their phone, when tried to remove and add the card to the app. This breakdown of the Pay would harm the users payment methods and raised inconvenience. Many users on Reddit are started to complaining that Google Pay is broken on their device and it is not working while paying through it.
A regular Google Pay user Austempest says:
“Google pay worked on all betas for me, tried to pay for coffee this morning after downloading beta 3 last night, no dice.
I don’t mind so much the bugs, I do mind that I couldn’t get coffee (now carry my card around since lunch as I went wallet-less over 2 years ago)”
And the Chittim says:
“Looks like it might be an intermittent issue – it worked yesterday for me at a Whole Foods, but then not this morning at a Dunkin Donuts saying “you can no longer use Google pay at stores” message.”

As we can assume that this problem occurs due to the device not passed the SafetyNet test. Where all the users whose device has passed the test are happy with the features and didn’t complaint about the malfunction of Google Pay, but there are very few of them. Thus Google is clear in its beta release program, appearance of such issues is unfortunate and we should hope that Google will fix the issue as early as possible. This is Beta version so Google developers can do very little about the issue so we hope they will solve it in next beta version.

From Tweets shared by this developer the process of development of jailbreaking tools for whole Apple Watch Series 1, 2, 3 & 4 including the latest Watch OS 5.1.2 and older versions is in the work. This attempt makes the process cakewalk and add new method for that purpose so end users can take advantages of it.
These Tweets from @ethanpepro mention that the master plan is to eventually release a full Open-sourced jailbreak process with a streamlined installation process. Previously this process dodge the whole developer-only deals that was given off by most of the Apple Watch jailbreak attempts. Now it is interesting to see that what type of changes this jailbreaking would bring for end users and which changes it accommodates.
Though ethanpepro hasn’t provided the ETA for the jailbreaking release but it has shared some evidences which supports its work. The proofs shared includes screenshot and videos that explaining the jailbreaking process. With this ethanpepro plans to release a public and open-source jailbreak that specially focus on ease-of-use and more streamlined installing. This is an incredible attempt to introduce a less of a developer only jailbreak.
If you are thinking about the benefits of Apple Watch jailbreak, you can do several things. Samsung Galaxy Buds Received New Update, Improved Bluetooth Connectivity
Samsung has released its first update for new Galaxy Buds. The new update will solve Bluetooth connectivity through the fixes. Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Received Bluetooth Certification
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 gets Bluetooth certification and expected to launch in coming months. Xiaomi has already confirmed that we will see next generation Mi Band in this year and that may now happen soon. The two models Mi Smart Band 4 NFC & Mi Smart Band 4 has certified by Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The Mi Smart Band 4 NFC has model number XMSH08HM & the other variant has model number XMSH07HM. On the site we can clearly see the next band will support NFC feature in selected market.
The other main feature disclosed is its Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy standard support. The current Mi Band supports Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, so we can expect new technology from the Mi Band 4. At this moment only these details are available on the Bluetooth site. As per the rumors Mi Band 4 could support ECG functionality. ECG is now the main part of many fitness trackers and Xiaomi’s next gadget could be the one to join it.
The previous Mi Band 3 is most selling fitness tracker in many countries. In India it is number one selling wearable since almost a year, which gives Xiaomi a better place in wearable market. Samsung Gear S3 Received Massive Tizen 4.0 Update
Samsung has introduced the latest software update to Gear S3 in order to keep the smartwatch in competition.
