Galaxy Watch Active Received First Tizen Update

Samsung has released new improvement update to its newly launched Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch. It is first update to the new watch after its launching in the month of February. Recently, Galaxy Buds has been received its first update and now the latest Samsung smartwatch is on the list. The small piece of software rolled out to improve battery charging algorithm on Watch Active and to provide stability. The new firmware version is R500XXU1BSD3/R500OXA1BSD3 & only 13.83MB in size. The small update will run on same Tizen 4.0.0.3 version.

The new update is currently available in US & soon it may release in other countries. To install new software on your Galaxy Watch Active, go to Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone and open Settings tab. Here, click on About Watch option and then tap on Download Updates Manually.

Galaxy Watch Active has launched in February with redesigned bezel-less display and lightweight than its predecessor – Galaxy Watch & Gear Sport watches. It is introduced to counter with Android Wear watches in the same range & Apple’s Watch Series 4. It comes with 42mm & 40mm models with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth connectivity. It is powered by Exynos 9110 dual core 1.5GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM. The display counts only 1.1-inch super AMOLED screen. It earned IP68 & 5ATM rating for water & dust resistance. There is 8GB of storage on the board and 230mAh battery packed inside the watch.
