Google Home, Weather & SoundCloud Apps Launched for Wear OS Watches

Three major apps are now available for Wear OS-powered smartwatches. Google has launched two new apps, and the famous music streaming app, SoundCloud has also been introduced for smartwatches. Google Home is only supported for Wear OS 3 or later versions in the new apps. The new Google Weather & SoundCloud is available for every Wear OS user. The SoundCloud app was in beta testing for a few weeks, and finally, the stable version has released in the Play Store.

With the launch of another music streaming app, users get one more option to play their favorite track. Wear OS has YouTube Music, Spotify, and more in the same section. It allows you to play any song, and make them a favorite. It needs a companion app on the paired smartphone.

Google Home is one of the most popular apps from the company. It let you control your smart devices and home appliances. You can start the bulbs, see who’s behind a door, control the camera, smart TV, and many more. It also needs a companion app on a smartphone.

Finally, Google has launched its Weather app for Wear OS watches. As for now, it is a basic app with hourly and weekly weather forecasts and UX index data. With time, Google may add more features to it to compete with big players like Accuweather.

All the apps are now available to download in the Play Store for Wear OS. You can use Google Home on Wear OS 3-powered watches like Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, and Pixel Watch. The remaining apps support all Wear OS watches.
