RRA Certifies Galaxy Watch 5 Wireless Charger

The wireless charger for Galaxy Watch 5 series has received the necessary certification in the home country. The RRA or Korean Radio Research Agency has given a green signal to the charging dock. The appeared document also popped up with other information that relates to the upcoming Samsung smartwatch. It leaked with mode number ER-OR900, and it relates to the EB-BR900ABY model number, which is linked with Galaxy Watch 5 charger.

The leaked image inside the document confirms the same wireless charger as users got with Galaxy Watch 4 and previous Tizen watches. As a reminder, Galaxy Watch 5 series to get larger battery life. The base model comes with 276mAh battery power instead of the 247mAh on the current watch.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is rumored to pack a 572mAh battery, the biggest on any Galaxy Watch ever. It is 60% more power than the Galaxy Watch’s 361mAh battery power. Samsung could also bring fast wireless charging support for the watches.

As for the concern about other features, the company may use premium materials, and that could cost more. Previously SamMobile and recently Ice Universe both have claimed the next watches will not come with a rotating bezel. The rotating physical & touch bezel is a symbol of Galaxy Watches, so it is interesting to see what Samsung decides.

The launch date for Galaxy Watch 5 series is in August. In Early June, Samsung will open the One UI Watch beta program for Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic. It is based on Wear OS software, so there is a chance we could see the same version in the next fifth-gen watches.
