Do you think it is possible to get the app on a tiny band screen? No, it is not possible to use such a heavy app on the band or any other trackers. It is because Mi Band 4 has only 16MB storage space to store the daily activities and comes with only 512KB RAM.
It doesn’t mean you can’t use it in any way. Well, some hardworking developers don’t think that way. Third-party app developers have created Navigator for Mi Band 3 & Band 4 to get the notifications from google maps on the fitness band. In this way, the app will send you information for turn-by-turn navigations. You have to set the destination in the app and then it will alert you in every direction. Xiaomi has never cleared if it is going to introduce GPS on its next Mi Band 5, neither it has confirmed about NFC function outside China. If it happens in the upcoming band then there is a possibility to get GPS & navigation by Xiaomi.
