The mobile platforms, iOS App Store, Android Play Store, Windows Phone Store, and Tizen Store all have WhatsApp in the library, make it easy for users to use it on their smartphones. Now the trend has come to smartwatches. In the last two years, the craze for smartwatches is so high that companies are making them with top-notch features. The Samsung Galaxy Watch, Samsung Gear S3, Galaxy Watch Active 2, Apple Watch, Fitbit Watch & Android Wear OS watches are a few examples to mention. Now customers want all their favorite apps on smartwatches, and WhatsApp Messenger is always on top of the list.
After the launch of Apple Watch Series 4 & Series 5, most customers are asking how to use WhatsApp Messenger on the new Apple smartwatches and where to download it. Well, the WhatsApp app is not available in Apple Watch Store. It is because of Apple’s policy, the same policy that applies to Instagram & Facebook apps. But there is the way. You can use WhatsApp on Apple Watch with minimal features. Like you can receive messages in a simple format and also you can reply or delete them. Here are the simple steps to use WhatsApp on Apple Watch Series 4 & Series 5 wearables.
How to Use WhatsApp on Apple Watch
1. Install WhatsApp app On your iPhone
2. Now on your iPhone go to Settings – Notifications – WhatsApp Messenger
3. Now activate Allow Notifications & Show in Notification Center option
4. After that open Watch app from your iPhone
5. In the Watch app open Notifications
6. Here you will see all supported apps, scroll down until you find the WhatsApp Messenger app.
7. Now activate notification button
That is all, after that, you will receive all the notifications from WhatsApp on your Apple Watch Series 4 and new Watch Series 5 wearable. You can’t use all the features of this app due to some limitations and tiny screens. Still, it is an easy way to get all the messages from your contacts. You can view all the messages on the main screen and can reply to them.
Maybe in the future, we see WhatsApp & other essential apps in the watch store, like now we have Spotify, Uber & Strava in the Apple Watch store. If you have any questions about these steps, then feel free to ask me in the comments box below. Also, don’t forget to share it with other Apple Watch users.
